Canterbury Park is mostly residential neighbourhood. Its borders are Gunn Street to the north, Perimeter Highway to the east, Pandora Ave E and Dugald south, and Redonda Street to the west. College Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau is also located on Redonda street and is a French Immersion program that is also offered to students between Grades 9-12. All other levels of schooling (including french immersion programs) are within a short distance to Canterbury Park, some still within walking distance as they are just beyond the technical "Redonda" border.
There are no major hospitals in the immediate area. However, the neighbourhood is less than 10 kilometers from the Concordia Hospital. The Concordia Hospital is part of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority and partners with health care agencies and providers to serve the community of northeast Winnipeg.
Canterbury Park is made up entirely of residential homes but it is in close proximity to amazing shopping located along Regent Avenue. Kildonan Place Shopping Centre, with more than 100 stores and services available is a popular destination for those living in the area. It is the largest enclosed shopping centre in the northeast quadrant of the city. The centre is anchored by.
