Harbour View South is a community in the East End of Winnipeg. It was developed by Qualico developments beginning in the mid 80’s and construction continuing in the newer area of Bridgewood Estates today. It is a fairly affluent area with many larger homes and yards alike. The approximate boundaries for the area are the Perimeter Highway to the North, The Perimeter Highway to the West Gunn Road to the South, and Lagimodiere Boulevard to the East. Habour View South and Bridgewood Estates are about 10 kilometers to the downtown core, and approximately 18 kilometers from the Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport.
Construction began in the mid 1980’s within the area, and as a result there are a heavy proportion of 80’s style homes. Popular design styles for the time were bungalows, bi-levels, and split levels. As development continued into the 2000’s within the area, we started to see more cabovers and two-storeys floor plans. Today, there is a nice blend of home styles for you to choose from. Home prices within the area range from around $300,000 for a smaller bungalow in need of greater repair, to north of $700,000 for a more substantial home in the newer area of Bridgewood Estates on a larger lot.
There are very few condominiums for sale within the area – with the exception of a string of townhouse style condominiums along Grassie Boulevard. None have sold on the MLS since 2015.
